Welcome to the tenth annual Bull and female production sale. It’s been an over abundance of blessing you allowing us to breed and develop Simmental/ SimAngus genetics! We are very appreciative of your support the last ten years and will be striving to continue the journey as we continue to grow our family and the herd. Our family was blessed to receive our first grand child this past summer, Hannah had a little boy. Weaver Ryan Joseph Tharp was born this past June. He’s sure been fun to watch and sit for Grandma Liz. Haven our middle daughter was just recently engaged this past fall and also just graduated from PCI. Started in December as a full time hair dresser and cosmetologist. Houstin is graduating this spring and is very excited to pursue his calf roping, as he will attend Iowa Central. Many exciting things in store for our family here in coming months. Tyler’s family is just starting to really get involved in sports, hunting , fishing and social activities. His kids are really starting to be a big help around the farm. Dad is still hanging in there, as he’s going on 3 years in the nursing home. What a ride this past year has been for the cattlemen! Record prices and demand from the consumer has set up the most profitable year to date. While numbers are still depleting and an aging farmer our supplies should continue to fall below supply levels. This means a world of opportunity to acquire top end genetically driven, cattlemen bred genetics. Our cattle represented in this offering will be from our top end donors while utilizing IVF to multiple several ET progeny that should excel in maternal and paternal traits that lead the country in all EPDs across the indexes. All cattle will be Genomically enhanced EPDS. All cattle be tested for homo polled and homo black. Assuring you get exactly what your breeding needs are. This set of cattle are a representation of what we feel are the forefront of the genetic progress the consumer and the feed lots are wanting. An animal bred with the cattlemen’s prospective for profitable, high end performance cattle to capture the ever ready marketplace. The Simmental Association just went thru a new evaluation for CE,B.W, and MCE. This evaluation hadn’t been done for over 12 years. The breed avg dropped all progeny 2 points from past EPDS that you all are familiar with. This evaluation shows that the breed has more BW than before. It’s a challenge that many didn’t expect, but the cattle in the offering haven’t changed. we feel as confident as ever that every bull in this sale will calve just fine to mature cows. With that being said, we recommend CE bulls to be at least 12 to be suitable for heifers. I’m sure I will field many questions and that’s to be expected. We will do our very best to assure you get the right bull for your program. This set of opens and breds are the very best we’ve offered allowing you to purchase females from our top donors!
