Multi-nutrient sulphate fertiliser

Polysulphate™ Polysulphate is a naturally occurring multi-nutrient sulphate fertiliser, which improves crop quality and delivers growers increased yields and profits. It contains four major plant nutrients: sulphur, potassium, magnesium and calcium – all in the sulphate form and all fully available to the crop.

Located in the North York Moors national park is the world’s first and only polyhalite mine, operated by Cleveland Potash. Polyhalite is mined in the UK at Boulby from a depth of 1,200m underneath England’s North Sea and is processed into Polysulphate.

This natural and organically approved 4-in-1 fertiliser is available to farmers. All tests are conclusive – Polysulphate provides the best value for farmers and as a product that is low in chloride, it is suitable for all types of crops.

48% SO 3

Ideal straight sulphur fertiliser with 48% SO 3 and with the additional benefits of providing potassium (K), magnesium (Mg) and calcium (Ca) all in a sulphate form in one application

Prolonged nutrient release rate, reduced risk of sulphate losses through leaching. This makes Polysulphate ideal for an early spring application and wherever there is potential for leaching

Fully soluble, with all nutrients available for plant uptake. Tests conclude that Polysulphate improves crop yields and improves the health of the crop

Multi nutrient sulphate product, containing four essential macronutrients

A versatile product that offers an opportunity to apply sulphate separately from nitrogen; excellent spreading characteristics mean Polysulphate spreads evenly up to 36m

Delivers superior yields, improved quality, increased profitability. Enhances crop health and vigour. Suitable or all kind of crops and all types of soils

and additional micronutrients

What is Polysulphate™? Polysulphate is derived from a naturally occurring mineral called Polyhalite with the chemical formula K 2 Ca 2 Mg(SO 4 ) 4 • 2H 2 O This gives the following product analysis;

• 48% SO 3 (19.2% S). Sulphur is an essential constituent of proteins and also helps improve the efficiency of other nutrients like nitrogen and phosphate • 14% K 2 O (12% K). Potassium, vital for improved crop health, quality and yield

• 6% MgO (3.6% Mg).

Magnesium, essential for photosynthesis • 17% CaO (12.2% Ca). Calcium, for strong healthy crops and crucial for cell division

UK produced fertiliser; Polysulphate has a low carbon footprint and is environmentally friendly

Available in a granular and standard grade; it is suitable as a straight sulphate fertiliser for direct application or as a raw material source to add essential sulphur to NPK production or blends

A natural product, ideal for all crops including chloride-sensitive ones; low salinity index, neutral pH and no acidifying effect. Poysulphate is also approved for organic agriculture

Trials using Polysulphate™

Release of sulphate fron Polysulphate vs. other sources

100%

Polysulphate delivers some sulphate available straight after application, but continues to release most of its sulphate into the soil solution over several weeks for uptake as the crop grows. Other sources can release all their sulphate in a matter of days. Polysulphate can be applied in good time in the late winter/spring with much less risk of sulphate loss through leaching.
