This classic French green bean dish makes a great side for a holiday meal. Servings: 4 INGREDIENTS • 2 tablespoons bu er • 1 tablespoon olive oil • Zest of one lemon • Salt and pepper, to taste DIRECTIONS 1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Trim the green beans and blanch them • 300 grams green beans • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
in the boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain and rinse them with cold water to prevent the beans from con ঞ nuing to cook. Set aside. 2. In a small saucepan, toast the slivered almonds. Set aside. 3. In a large pan, heat the bu er and olive oil. Add the green beans and sauté for about 3 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and add the toasted almonds and lemon zest. Season with salt and pepper, and then place the bean dish on a serving plate.
