Whether you’re a die-hard craft beer enthusiast or someone curious to explore new flavours, the 2026 festival promises an evening of conviviality and good cheer as you discover your next favourite beer, cider, or RTD. A Showcase of Canadian Brewing Creativity At its core, the PEI Beer Festival is a tasting tour of more than 100 beverages from over 25 breweries across Canada — with a strong focus on local and East Coast producers, alongside innovative offerings from beyond the region. From traditional lagers and bold IPAs to crisp ciders and ready-to-drink (RTD) concoctions, this year’s lineup invites attendees to expand their palates and find new favourites. “It’s not just about drinking beer,” explains Ben Murphy, CEO of Murphy’s Hospital Group and Whitecap Entertainment, “it’s about understanding the craft. We have a powerful craft beer industry on PEI, but not a lot of representation off the island. So, you get the opportunity to sample some amazing products from 10 breweries here on PEI that you don’t normally get access to off PEI.” Murphy goes on to say, “You also get to meet the faces behind the beer, share experiences and stories with the brewers themselves.” Each tasting session offers unlimited samples within the allotted time — a 3 oz commemorative tasting glass for general admission attendees, or a 5 oz souvenir glass with VIP passes, which also include early access to the festival floor.
