Team,
Welcome to the second half of the year!!! The first half has been a challenge, to say the least, but that’s in our rearview mirror now. There is a lot to be excited about going forward as all sales segment leaders are projecting a solid sales increase through the remainder of the year. As always, it comes down to our people. We’ve continued to add phenomenal talent to the company, in both sales and support positions, that embody the Emser culture. We should have our heads held high as we partner with our customers. We are Emser!!! One of the industry leaders in fashion, design, service standards, ethical business practices, industry expertise, and true business partners. Our goal as a company has always been to create business partnerships with our customers that allow us to make it easier for them to conduct their own business. You’ve heard this many times, our job is not to say no, but to create a win-win for us and our customers. With that as our goal and the best of the best employees, it opens a myriad of sales opportunities that our competitors cannot touch. Always keep in mind:
• You have the autonomy to make business decisions • You have the support of corporate and sales leadership • You have a product offering second to none in the industry
It takes everyone to carry the culture and spirit and redirect if we veer. And most of all, have fun doing it! Have a great second half of the year and I look forward to celebrating the continued wins.
Sincerely, Steve Zibby Vice President, Sales and Branch Operations
It takes everyone to carry the culture and spirit and redirect if we veer.

Branch Spotlight: San Antonio, Texas
What sets this branch apart, what makes it unique? We have a family environment, and we are all motived to win and grow. Everyone here is willing to help in every seg- ment despite their current situation. Everyone is All In! What adversity/challenges have you overcome? We always find a way to say yes, provide solutions or come up with alternatives. The team is very tenured and full of Front L to R: Sonya Zamora, Holly Emmons, Annette Ovalle Back L to R: Reynaldo Fernandez, Tessa Burns, Johnathan Ferrell, Lenn Funkhouser, Kenneth McAllister, David Bailey, Brad Balance, Angel Huerta Not Pictured: Michael Blakely The entire team deserves special recognition for always being here and staying until the job is done. Also, for their overall service and growth mentality! If we can point the spotlight at one person, it would be on Holly Emmons for her focus on operations and profitability. Holly has made substantial gains in so many areas and she continues to protect the house! Also, the warehouse team, Mike, J.T and Rey are awesome. They work so hard even in the heat and move a consider- able amount of product with ease. We can always count on them being here and doing their absolute best. They are constantly communicating new ways to make things better and are always about sales and numbers! Plus, our CSRs up front make everything happen and are some of the best multitaskers I have ever seen. Last, but not least, the sales team is pounding the street every day. We have found more new opportunities in the last two years than I ever thought possible. Massive weekly wins are the norm around here! Overall, we find a way to say yes. Yes. Find them something! And yes, we will work it out on the backside. We always say “take care of the customer first!” knowledge. There is always a way to make it happen. What makes this team deserve special recognition?

Meet David Pacheco Transportation Planner
“David exemplifies Emser core values, whether it is developing useful reporting to help branches or working with Supply Chain, he is always willing to provide support to anyone that asks. And sometimes even when he’s not!” – Mark Seal, VP of Global Sourcing. Tell us a bit about yourself? I grew up in the Los Angeles area, where I started my career in transportation, about two years after high school. After hav- ing a career in transportation for roughly 10 years in various roles from customer service, billing and supervising freight claims, I decided to go to college. While in college, I worked as a transportation coordinator. I graduated from Pitzer College with a major in Organizational Development. I wanted to go into Training and Development or Human Resources, however, given my experience I stayed with Transportation. How long have you been with Emser? Eight years What work accomplishments are you most proud of? Our push for freight revenue starting in 2020 was very suc- cessful and has continued to be successful to date. This was a result of the efforts of the transportation team with support from our field. In the last year, I have functioned as a utility member for our supply chain team and have provided support related to Inventory (Forecasts, Sales Reviews) and Transpor- tation (Carrier Rates, Revenue, Expense Review). What motivates you? Having opportunities to develop. New goals, new ideas and working on projects to help drive out those ideas. What advice do you have for others on your team? Make as many connections in our organization as possible. Emser, just as other organizations, is built on the concept of synergy. You may not hear feedback and only some concepts stick, but the worst thing to do is to think your ideas won’t matter and keep them to yourself.
What do you like to do in your spare time? Any hobbies, etc.? I moved into a new home last year. I started to take up gardening, home improvement and cooking. I do enjoy traveling (mostly between CA and FL). I work-out five days a week. Sometimes I go to the batting cages which in itself is a workout. I stopped playing Softball during COVID but I plan to start again this fall. I’m also a Dodg- ers fan, I watched games with my dad growing up and still catch them nightly when available. Any fun fact(s) that you’d like to share about yourself? When I was in elementary school my dad brought home an old computer, he picked-up at yard sale. It didn’t have games on it, but it did have a copy of Lotus 1-2-3 (IBM’s version of Microsoft Excel). I would turn it on and input random numbers into the sheet. When I was in high school, I originally wanted to go into software develop- ment or some form of IT. I’m always excited and trying to keep up with the latest technology, and have built com- puters for friends and family.
