We will discuss long-term management recommendations and touch on common concurrent diseases that may affect the success of treatment such as chronic kidney disease and diabetes mellitus. This talk will discuss the current data and the interventions that have been implemented to solve this complex problem. The presentation will evaluate the effectiveness of these interventions as well as possible methods that each veterinarian can do to improve recruitment and retention in rural mixed animal or food animal practice.
