The case illustrates the challenges of managing a highly allergic patient, including persistent pruritus, recurrent infections, and the limitations of traditional therapies. A dramatic improvement in her clinical signs and quality of life was observed following the introduction of Zenrelia (ilunocitinib), a newly approved JAK-STAT inhibitor for canine atopic dermatitis. Zenrelia has demonstrated rapid and sustained pruritus reduction in clinical trials and real-world cases, offering a promising new therapeutic option for dogs suffering from allergic skin disease.
