Your Donations in Action Thanks to your ongoing support, the library continues to grow in ways that meet the evolving needs of our community. The Crofton Library now has a brand-new two-person collaboration pod—a quiet, modern private space for studying or meeting featuring built-in lighting, comfortable seating and an electrical outlet made possible through donor-funded innovation.

Branch Manager Rachael Troianos Halbig listened to frequent feedback from customers who needed more private, flexible space. In response, she applied for a $25,000 grant to fund the pod through our big ideas initiative, which supports projects of $5,000 or more across our 16 branches. The Crofton branch hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by State Senator Dawn Giles, Library Foundation President Jane Campbell-Chambliss and board member Ian Marchanti. As the ribbon fell, several local teens immediately settled into the new pod, already planning SAT study sessions and quiet meetups. Stop by and see firsthand how your donations are shaping the library experience—for Crofton, and for communities across the county. Want to help bring more ideas like this to life? Make your year-end gift today and support projects and programs that keep our libraries thriving .
