July 2025 Newsletter MAAGAZIN

Dear MAAG Americas Team:

As most of you are enjoying some well-deserved time off during the summer months, we just passed the half-year mark for 2025 and will soon be heading into the budgeting phase for the coming year! I wanted to begin this message with a big “thank you” for all the contributions you have made so far this year. Despite the headwinds we have been facing since the start of the year, we can see performance improvements coming from all the projects you are working on! Our 0Dover implementation is well underway and we are on track to become certified for Driving Change in the coming year! Even now we can already see the positive impact on OTD, quality, and productivity! All focus for the rest of the year will be on execution and shipping of our backlog, no matter for equipment or spare parts. Our sales and aftermarket teams had one of the best months ever in June with record bookings for both teams, and it looks like the market is slowly picking up. As of now we are still booking orders into this year, and it is crucial that we turn projects and orders around as quickly and efficiently as possible, without sacrificing the quality our customers expect. With all your efforts, we have a chance to exceed our previous forecast and get closer to the budget we originally got for this year! I am very proud of everything you have achieved so far this year!

Please keep up the good work!

Paul Merich

INTEGRATION NEWS The Integration Team continues to make great strides in preparation to manufacture the new product line in the future. Engineering continues to implement the drawings into our system. The housing for the D1050 dryer has been released from engineering to production and has started in welding. Members of the assembly team participated in hands on training in Minnesota where they built a D1050 dryer from start to finish and assembled two (2) AUDU 4000’s.

Our People Make the Difference!

We are very proud of our talented people, who are making a difference every day. our Manufacturing Engineer, Naresh Kalakata , from our Kent, Ohio facility. He has been traveling to support our 0DOVER implementation at EGR by A recent example is spearheading the completion of our first fleet of 17 flow carts. These carts are being tried, aiming to improve our floor space utilization, ergonomics, and material flow.

Along with our maintenance team, Naresh put up long hours every day to ensure these carts were completed on time for the next project’s phase.

This project was quoted at $20K but this expense was avoided thanks to Naresh's expertise and support.

We celebrate this exceptional effort and its impact on both our processes and business goals.

0Dover 5S Implementation at EGR

5S is a part of 0DOVER initiatives aimed at improving processes throughout an enterprise. 5S consists of 5 parts: Sort, Shine, Standardize, Set in order, and Safety. In short, 5S is a workplace organization method focused on creating a clean, efficient, and well- organized environment. As part of 0DOVER OPEX initiative, our Eagle Rock, VA Assembly Area Team (Scott Craft, Ethan Persinger, Tyler Broughman, Mason Kincaid, Andrew Fridley, Adam Zieler and Brian Broughman) attended the 5S training and started practicing the 5S methodology under the leadership of Scott Craft. The team produced innovative ideas and solutions to eliminate waste, improve safety and boost productivity. Our Operation's Director David Jewell congratulated the Assembly Area Team for their success and self-driven efforts. Below are the pictures of before and after implementing 0DOVER 5S strategies in assembly area.

MAAG Americas Interns

July is the month to recognize and celebrate our interns! Interns are the future of industrial manufacturing and are important for the future of MAAG Group. MAAG Americas currently has four interns in manufacturing, die plate, and electrical engineering departments: Brian Moran, Jonathan Anderson and Daniel Anderson, and Jacob Reese. Brain Moran has been working with the Die Plate Engineering team for about 1 year. He is currently attending Virginia Western Community College and plans to transfer to Virginia Tech next year. He supports the die plate teams with creating bill of materials for customer orders, updating and maintaining drawings, and helps with various tasks in engineering and the machine shop. Jonathan and Daniel Anderson are gaining hands-on experience in the design and documentation of electrical systems for industrial control applications. Their responsibilities include creating and updating electrical schematics, selecting appropriate components, and supporting the development of control panel layouts. They are also learning to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and to maintain organized documentation and bill of materials. Jacob Reese joined the assembly team as an intern on June 16th, 2025, to assist with all mechanical aspects of assembly. Jacob will be assisting with the builds on all aspects of our equipment along with tear down and clean up prior to crating.

Hobbies Riley Coleman (Operational Excellence Analyst) decided to take a trip to Costa Rica over the month of June. He and some of his friends from college were looking to go there to commemorate the summer of 2025. They were looking to go on a cheap international trip and discovered Costa Rica is in its rainy season. About 2 days after the discussion, the group booked tickets to Costa Rica and began planning where they will stay and what they will do.

The next few days. The group visited Manuel Antonio National Park, where they had the opportunity to see hordes of monkeys, sloths, Costa Rican deer, and iguanas within arm's reach. It was a beautiful park, and they stayed until closing. After the park closed, the group took a private tour with a guide through the jungle at night in the rain. The trails were flooded so much that all of their shoes got sopping wet. During this jungle tour, they got the chance to see wild scorpions, tarantulas, sloths, bullfrogs, and Poison Dart Frogs. In this rainforest there also was a swinging bridge that was 148 feet tall. After the trek through the jungle, the group went back to the tin to relax. Thank you, Riley, for sharing your exciting experience with us! After the plane landed in San Jose, Riley and his friends landed they took a rental car to Jaco, CR, where they stayed on beachfront property. Over the many days they were there, Riley got to explore La Paz Zoo and Waterfalls. There were 5 waterfalls in the zoo which had a trail that led up to it. In the zoo, they got to see up close capuchin monkeys (the same monkey from the Night at the Museum), Jaguars, sloths, Toucans, and Scarlet Macaws. His favorite animal was the Scarlet Macaw, which is one of the most common birds found in Costa Rica. A Scarlett Macaw has red, yellow and blue plumage and is known for its big personality.
