Tables are used for different types of functions in homes all over the world and I see my dining table as an essential part of the home décor. We use napkins in this house at every sitting, sometimes linen, sometimes disposable (apologies to the planet). I have drawers filled with table cloths, napkins, and napkin rings as I believe the dining table sets the tone. We have family dinner together every evening and it's like a sharing circle where we update each other on our days - it's a celebration of sorts and my kids know I DO insist on a well-set table with napkins and crystal glasses. I can drink anything in the world as long as it is not alcoholic, therefore, my glass should celebrate that as opposed to giving me some half-assed tumbler! Napkins and table cloths can cheer up any meal and for me a wonderful sober treat at the end of any month.
