Hola Sober OCTOBER

THE HAZE BY SHANA E.

Through the haze, I see a glimmer of light Dampening the fear, quieting the fright Of facing my fears, a sober morning has dawned I’ve wanted to see this light for so many days, for so long A small step is needed, a small voice beckons To take the slightest jump, I feel fear but it lessens Because this may be my last chance to take the hand that’s extended To join a circle of women who have faced the same fears, but have befriended Other women who have the same fears but still have a glimmer of hope To take the same leap to get sober It takes hard work, it’s no joke But the haze will lift, the sun will alight A new day awaits, your sober life will take flight So join the sober women who have been brave and gone before you They will show you the way, take their hands, that’s all you have to do
