Many people get turned off to religion because they take those words literally...I don't... I use them as I see fit, to bolster my spirituality and be in awe of all that is in our miraculous universe. Further, I will be sober when my family comes over for the holiday dinner in a few hours."

I'm sitting in my garden to write this. It is a glorious spring day and I live inner city so there is always a constant hum. As I sit in my silence I can hear birds singing, wind rustling in the trees the Italians over the way listening to music with their family but it isn't noise because I am sitting in my silence. I'm not afraid of silence in fact when it comes I embrace it because it's not a given that quietness means silence. I suffer from constant earworms - when you get a song stuck and it won't shift - it's there all the time - I don't think I've heard 'September' so many times in my life 😂 I can get up to the toilet during the night and there it is as soon as I open my eyes. Silence for me is truly golden.
