Beadlight was founded in 1988 and has a history of producing innovative precision products, from the Synthaxe guitar and LED entertainment lighting to developing patented LED diffusion technology. This led to a move into aerospace, with the company putting the first LED reading light on a commercial aircraft with Virgin Atlantic in 1998. Beadlight’s driving factor is to produce products that exceed its customers’ and passengers’ expectations, working with a day-to-day emphasis on design, quality and customer service. Beadlight designs and manufactures LED reading, feature and ambient lights alongside other products, such as touchscreen controllers, UV air filtration devices and switches. It predominately works in the aerospace industry, however it also provides products to the maritime industry, commercial interiors and construction sectors. In aerospace, Beadlight is known for being a leader in its field for its customised LED lights. Beadlight is proud to provide products to nearly all the world’s leading airlines, including Air France, American Airlines and Cathay Pacific. The company designs and manufactures its products in Witney, Oxfordshire, designing everything from the electronic circuit to the mechanical design. It manufactures every detail, from the population of
the circuit boards through to the assembly of the final products, and its tightly controlled manufacturing process allows the team to ensure consistently high quality products, which adhere to
the regulatory requirements. Through its supply chain it sources British-made components wherever possible.
