Stanhope-Seta Ltd is proud and honoured to receive the King’s Award for Enterprise in the category of International Trade. This is the fifth such honour bestowed upon the company, building on a legacy of excellence following previous Queen’s Awards for International Trade in 2012 and 2022, and the award for Innovation in 2014 and 2019. Established in 1940, Stanhope-Seta is a British, family-owned business, renowned for designing and manufacturing advanced laboratory test instruments for quality control. With headquarters in Chertsey, Surrey and a recently acquired second facility in Byfleet, the company continues to grow and expand into new sectors. Seta’s instruments are exported worldwide, serving over 120 countries across industries such as fuel, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food. The company is represented globally by a trusted network of distributors and maintains strong local support through regional offices in Malaysia and South Africa. Seta instruments are developed and manufactured in the UK, where an extensive lean manufacturing and six sigma program has been successfully implemented. Seta plays a pivotal role in international standardisation, actively chairing and participating in committees for ASTM, BSI, ISO, CEN and IATA. The King’s Award recognises Seta’s remarkable export growth. This success is underpinned by a strategic focus on training, knowledge-sharing and market engagement. Seta’s regional seminars and technical workshops support local partners and end users with world class training. Seta’s commitment to community and education is equally important. The company runs internships, apprenticeships and STEM outreach programmes, helping young people explore careers in engineering.
