Norwich-based Delta Fire was established in 1990 and has since grown from a small start-up workshop to a state-of-the-art global manufacturing organisation using solar powered robots and CNC machines to produce the components used in its world class fire suppression products. Delta’s extensive range of handheld fire nozzles are used by the vast majority of UK fire and rescue services along with countless users around the world. By combining cutting-edge design with practical functionality, Delta Fire delivers equipment that significantly improves firefighter safety in high- risk environments. Driving innovation Delta’s first King’s Award acknowledges the evolving threats faced by the modern-day firefighter – from high-rise building fires to the rising frequency of wildfires and the unique hazards of electric vehicle blazes. Delta Fire’s approach has been to meet these challenges head-on through pioneering product development that supports those on the frontline. The Attack Pro series, for example, is a flagship nozzle range lauded for its cutting-edge
engineering. Featuring an advanced spray pattern and an integrated stainless-steel turbine, the nozzle produces a fine mist of micro-droplets maximising cooling and fire suppression while improving firefighter safety and visibility. “The Attack Pro isn’t just a product, it’s a revolution in how we support emergency responders,” says Ian Gardner, Managing Director and Founder. “It represents decades of refinement, built on close collaboration with fire services and a deep understanding of their operational needs.” Delta’s product development is built around user feedback and emerging risks. Its Hydro-Wall Hose, for example, was recently launched to aid in the fight against wildfires – a growing concern globally due to climate change. A portfolio built for performance Delta Fire designs and manufactures a comprehensive portfolio of firefighting equipment used in more than 100 countries around the world and across a wide range of high-risk sectors including: • Fire and rescue services – supplying over 90% of UK fire and rescue services with frontline attack nozzles, hose reels and foam equipment. • Marine and offshore – providing IMO-compliant products for oil platforms, naval vessels and shipping fleets. • Aviation – supplying foam branch pipes, fire monitors and hi-expansion foam generators tailored to aircraft hangars and runway risks. • Defence and government – delivering rugged, high-performance gear for tactical and remote firefighting environments. • Petrochemical and energy – supplying fixed and portable fire monitors and high-volume foam systems for hazardous industrial applications. • Wildfire and forestry – specialising in
lightweight, high-mobility hoses and nozzles for long-range water delivery in remote terrains.
Every product is designed in-house at Delta’s Norwich HQ, benefiting from advanced CAD systems, high-tech 3-D modelling, advanced flow simulation software, purpose-built fire testing rig and a dedication to rigorous quality standards. This control over design, testing and production ensures that every piece of equipment meets and exceeds the rigorous demands of the modern day firefighter, ensuring operator safety remains at the core of every design. Sustainability embedded in every step Delta Fire’s second King’s Award recognises its industry-leading commitment to sustainable development – a philosophy embedded across the company’s operations, products and supply chain. In 2025, the company reached a milestone: net- zero energy use at its £5.5 million headquarters and manufacturing facility. This has been achieved through: • 648 rooftop solar panels generating 260MWh of green electricity per year. • Air source heat pumps for heating and cooling. • A 300kWh battery system supporting power throughout low-solar months. • Rainwater harvesting systems used for landscape irrigation. • A commitment to supplying excess electricity to the national grid during surplus periods. To further extend its green credentials, Delta Fire is planning the installation of up to three vertical- axis wind turbines to meet winter energy demands. The firm is also actively reducing material waste, improving packaging sustainability, encouraging
