BELFAST INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
STEEL DOORS ASSA ABLOY Door Group supplied over 100 personnel and fire-rated steel doors for the first phase of Belfast International Airport’s £100m redevelopment. Working closely with Piperhill Construction and Mott MacDonald Architects from the early design stage, the manufacturer provided full door set schedules, ironmongery and NBS specifications, supporting the Golden Thread of Information. Stephen Wilkinson, Area Sales Manager, said, “Delivering in a live airport environment presented logistical and security challenges. Close collaboration with Mott MacDonald ensured compliance, while Piperhill’s support helped navigate restricted access and tight site conditions. REINFORCING BAR Eden Fabrications supplied the cut and bent reinforcing bar for the new terminal extension at Belfast International Airport, delivered by Piperhill Construction as part of the airport’s wider £100m redevelopment. Working to programme requirements, the company provided reinforcement to support key structural elements of the scheme, including the new security hall and enhanced arrivals area. Damien O’Boyle, Director, said, “Our contribution to this high-profile infrastructure project reflects our ongoing work across a wide range of sectors including commercial, industrial, education and infrastructure.” Established in 2007, Eden Fabrications specialises in the fabrication and supply of reinforcing bar, mesh and structural steel across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and GB.
