No champion walks into the ring unprepared, and no corner waits for one to appear. The work happens long before fight night, in training sessions that nobody films, against opponents that do not yet have names, and that is precisely how stc group approaches the task of building the next generation of digital defenders. The threats facing Saudi Arabia’s digital infrastructure are not theoretical, they are active and accelerating alongside the Kingdom’s broader transformation agenda. As the Kingdom’s digital footprint expands, so does the surface available to attack, and no defense can be built on imported talent alone. The Kingdom needs defenders who are already here, already in the gym, already putting in the rounds, and it needs institutions willing to invest in them before a crisis demands it. CyberRally is how stc group is building that immunity. Launched by the Cybersecurity and Data Management sector, it is a national hackathon built around a single conviction: the talent needed to secure the Kingdom’s digital future is homegrown. This program exists to find those individuals, test their limits, and return them to the field sharper than before.. More than 300 participants entered, submitting 120 ideas across the full range of cybersecurity disciplines, and forty-two made it through the first cut. That is where the real sparring began, with six strategic partners running specialized workshops, each designed to take a promising idea and pressure it into something deployable. These were the rounds that separated concepts from solutions, and the partners who delivered them brought the kind of sector experience that no classroom curriculum can replicate. Over three consecutive days, the qualifying teams stepped into the ring before a panel of senior experts and industry specialists, presenting projects that had been stress-tested, and refined into something with real edges. Each was judged on its innovation and real-world impact, assessed not as student work but as potential solutions to challenges the sector is actively facing. Ten went the distance, and their ideas were recognized at the closing ceremony and validated as early-stage foundations for tools ready for operational use. CyberRally was designed to produce something that outlasts the final bell, and for stc group, this is only the opening round. There is more to come, more talent to find, more capability to build, and a long-term commitment to making sure the Kingdom’s digital defenders are ready before the fight arrives.
