The intel The US and China remain the two dominant hotel
development markets by project count, while Asia Pacific excluding China, the Middle East and Africa all reached regional record project totals at the end of 2025. China’s Q1 2026 pipeline remained heavily construction- led, with 71% of projects and 70% of rooms already under construction.

The intel India accounts for 39% of the Asia Pacific pipeline, excluding China, while Bangkok, Bengaluru, Jakarta, Mumbai and Tokyo lead the region’s city development hotspots. In Europe, the UK leads by country, followed by Türkiye, Germany, France and Portugal; London is the region’s largest city pipeline. In Latin America, Mexico, Brazil and the Dominican Republic account for 61% of projects and 64% of rooms in the regional pipeline.
