Thankfully, racquets season is in full swing — and keeping us warm, whether it feels like a tennis court…or a skating rink out there! February is FUN at WCC, and our courts continue to be the place to be all winter long. Mark your calendars for University of Delaware tennis at the Club. The women’s team plays Friday, February 13 and March 15, and the men’s team takes the courts on Sunday, February 22. Best of all, they are undefeated at WCC — let’s go Hens! We encourage members to come out, watch some great collegiate tennis, and help cheer on the teams. Our junior players are also hitting the road for friendly matches against Roosevelt Island, NY on February 14. These trips are a great opportunity for our juniors to gain match experience, build confidence, and represent WCC on the road. We wish all of our players and coaches the best of luck. Paddle has been nonstop this winter, with Cup play heating up across multiple teams and the Mixed Morrow proving to be a big hit. It has been great to see so much energy, friendly competition, and full courts throughout the season, along with strong participation from players of all levels. And while winter is still in full force, summer is already on the horizon, with plans underway for grand pool festivities and our most fun and activity-packed Summer Camp yet. More details will be coming soon, but we are excited for another great summer at the Club.
