9. Every effort has been made to assure the correctness of the catalog, and, in most cases, information quoted concerning the horses is taken from official breed records. However, the sale management and auctioneer are not responsible for errors or omissions and assume no liability on its part or on the part of the seller as to any statements, whether verbal or written, regarding horses sold. All announcements from the auction stand take precedence over printed material. 10. A Negative Coggins Test will accompany each horse. Coggins papers for transportation purposes are given when horses are paid for. Coggins must be dated within one year of sale date. 11. Sellers ’ checks will be held for five business days then mailed to consignors. Any incomplete paperwork will result in check being held until paperwork is completed. 12. Any horse rejected because of the 72 - hour soundness guarantee is to be returned to Heartland Select Performance Horse Sale or the consignor by the purchaser. Heartland Select Performance Horse Sale will do everything possible to help, but in no way is responsible for the return of the rejected horse. 14. Care for all horses sold falls to the new owner once the gavel falls. It is the responsibility of the new owner to make sure the animal is taken care of until loaded out. The crew at Heartland Select Performance Horse Sale will be happy to assist anyone in this task. SOUNDNESS GUARANTEE All horses in catalog session are guaranteed sound unless otherwise noted. Soundness consists of the ability to walk, breathe, see properly, not to crib, not to be a cryptorchid, and not to be parrot mouthed. Any other guarantees made or implied by consignor before, during, or after the sale of his or her horse, are between the consignor and the buyer. Soundness guarantee extends 72 hours after day of purchase.
