This event has been two diligent years in the works, as Elizabeth and her colleagues strive for this community celebration to be a safe space for nourishing one’s creativity and forming meaningful connections through art. “This is where you can be you,” Elizabeth encourages. “You can also enjoy the village, and make a whole weekend out of it! We want this event to expand the geographic area, and continue to grow.” Additionally, this is a juried show with a membership fee to participate once accepted. This fee is directed toward the advertising for this tour, as well as printing and signage. 25 artists will be accepted for the Elgin County Studio Tour next year, with the application process outlined through their website this October. Co-chair, Laura Woermke, delightedly offers, “We are incredibly excited to invite art lovers and enthusiasts to the upcoming Elgin County Studio Tour. This event is a fantastic opportunity to meet our talented local artists, explore their creative spaces and witness the magic of their artistic process firsthand -- a great weekend of art inspiration, connection, discovery and celebration of the vibrant art community of Elgin County and St. Thomas.” The 2024 Elgin County Studio Tour is generously sponsored by The Art and Soul Café, Canadale Nurseries, Domus De- velopments, Doug Tarry Homes, Inn on the Harbour, the Port Stanley BIA, Port Stanley Properties and The Windjammer Inn.
