From the Meadow, a name renowned in local natural skincare and wellness products, is expanding by opening a new location in St. Thomas at 808 Talbot Street. This development, in the plans for years, comes as the company celebrates its 25th anniversary, a significant milestone in its journey. Customer demand and their positive experiences in the area drove the decision to open in St. Thomas. “We have a lot of outreach in St. Thomas,” says Heather Kazmer, owner of From the Meadow. “We’ve had a strong presence at the Horton Market for years and developed a great clientele there. Many of our loyal customers have been asking for a location in the area. The demand has been consistent, and it felt like the right time to bring our products closer to those who have supported us.” Known for its unique approach to natural skincare, From the Meadow specializes in handmade healing creams and soaps, and offers a full line of facial care products. What sets them apart is their commitment to organic ingredients grown on their own five-acre farm just outside Belmont. “We grow all the plants ourselves, ensuring the quality and purity of our products,” Heather emphasizes. “It’s a tradition that started with my mom, who would make tinctures and salves for family and friends. Heather’s connection to St. Thomas adds a personal touch to this expansion. “I used to live just south of St. Thomas, and my husband grew up in Union. Many of our friends are in St. Thomas, so in a way, it feels like a homecoming. The community has always been supportive, and we’re thrilled to finally have a storefront here.” The new store on Talbot Street is a significant step for From the Meadow, bringing their fine products closer to the St. Thomas community while continuing the legacy that started on their family farm. While the original farm store outside of Belmont is still open, Heather is proud of the growth. “It’s our first standalone storefront, and we’re very excited about it.”
