Community back-to-school giveaways
Blessed Couples United Outreach, in partnership with Gloucester Toyota and Gloucester County Public Schools, is proud to present the 2025 Back- 2-School Block Party and Community Resource Fair on Saturday, Aug. 2 from 2-6 p.m. at Gloucester High School. Students from Gloucester, Mathews, and Middlesex Counties can enjoy free school supplies, lunch, games, and family-friendly activities. Family- favorites include our bounce houses, mobile gaming, live music, food trucks, health screenings, and local resource providers like Sentara, Riverside, and the Virginia National Guard. “This event unites the community and prepares our youth for a strong start to the school year,” explained organizer Derek Jones. 13th Annual Backpacks & Haircuts event at Petsworth Baptist Church
Our mission is to serve the community of Gloucester with backpacks, school supplies and haircuts to begin the new school year. We are praying for your students! School supplies and haircuts are given on a first-come, first-serve basis. Doors will open at noon on Sunday, Aug. 17, and the event goes until 2 p.m. Please join us for our Sunday Worship and Service at 10 a.m. We’re located at 2471 Hickory Fork Road in Gloucester.
