Arts at Abingdon Concerts by the Bay Lyyra: Saturday, Oct. 11 at 4 p.m.

Concerts by the Bay is proud to present Bad Moon Rising, a Classic Tributes Live band, on Sunday, Sept. 14 at 3 p.m. in the Mathews High School Auditorium. Bad Moon Rising invites you to take a trip down the Mississippi delta as they pay tribute to arguably the greatest rock band North America ever produced: Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Lyyra is the new all-women vocal ensemble from The Voces8 Foundation.

Nobuntu: Thursday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. Nobuntu, the female a cappella quartet from Zimbabwe, has drawn international acclaim for its inventive performances that range from traditional Zimbabwean songs to Afro Jazz to Gospel. The ensemble’s concerts are performed with pure voices, augmented by minimalistic percussion, traditional instruments such as the Mbira (thumb piano) and authentic dance movements. This performance

will be held at Abingdon Church free of charge, and no reservations are required.
