Irvine CONNECT Route Expands After a successful pilot year with more than 141,000 riders, the City Council gave the green light to continue the free Irvine CONNECT shuttle service and expand the route north to Portola Parkway. In July, the expanded route began connecting to neighborhoods such as Stonegate, Eastwood, and The Groves, as well as Northwood High School, the Jeffrey Open Space Trail, Hicks Canyon Trail, and more. Michelson Pedestrian Bridge began this summer, marking a major step toward improved pedestrian safety, reduced traffic congestion, and enhanced connectivity in the thriving, mixed-use Irvine Business Complex. This 175-foot-long bridge, which will span Jamboree Road, will have a sleek stainless-steel structure accented with elegant Corian cladding, translucent
