Ward 11 Update from City Hall by Skylar Franke, Ward 11 London City Council 519-661-2489, extension 4011 • sfranke@london.ca Hello Wortley Neighbours, I hope you had a great summer and are looking forward to the autumn months. Fall is my favourite season – I can’t get enough of sweaters, autumn foliage and apple picking. For everyone heading back to school – I wish you success in your educational efforts! Adaptation Framework What actions do we need to take to adapt to London’s current and future weather? Victoria Bridge Re-opening This bridge finally reopened in July 2024 and I was so pleased to celebrate with residents and Old South Community Organization members. Thames Park and the tennis courts also reopened for use in the summer. Staff continue to work on new recreation options for Thames Park. Next Ward 11 Town Hall – September 25th Thank you to everyone who was able to make it to my last town hall on June 3, 2024. There were many important discussions about safer neighbourhoods, addressing issues with supportive housing and future transportation plans. Join me on Wednesday, September 25th from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Moose Lodge at 6 Weston Street for a joint Ward 1 and 11 Town Hall. We will be discussing BRT along Wellington, parks, addressing homelessness and whatever you want to talk about. RSVP by emailing sfranke@london.ca See you around the Village, Skylar
