Meet Brandon of Tremblett’s Wortley villagers have long enjoyed the benefits of a local grocery store – and have even successfully protested threatened closures. Named Valu-Mart when Brandon Tremblett became owner of the store in Spring 2024, the grocer celebrated their rebranding to Tremblett’s Your Independent Grocer on August 9 with giveaways (including 250 roses), specials, a charity BBQ, live radio from 98.1 and guest appearances by Max McCue and Jacob Julian of the London Knights. The attractive, well-stocked store (I especially love the selections of produce, bakery and ready- to-heat meals) is located at 179 Wortley Road.
