Founded in 1595, Wellingborough School prides itself on its rich history and enduring traditions. These are visible today in its architecture, the house system and, most importantly, their values. Their mindset, however, is thoroughly progressive and they are keen to embrace innovations which make its pupils the ethos and integrity of the School. Families are reassured by its longevity and the body of knowledge that has been developed over time about how best to educate boys and girls. At a time of fleeting fashions, even in education, it is more important than ever to be led by the School’s long-held values. Wellingborough School provides the opportunities that enable its pupils to discover their potential and decide who they want to be. This is achieved in a warm, supportive and challenging environment where pupils, staff and parents work together to ensure that every child flourishes. The School Site Established in the 15th century, Wellingborough School is set in 45 acres of land, located in the heart of the Northamptonshire town of Wellingborough. It is an all- through independent school for students aged 3 – 18 years old. The School is easily accessible by train, with Wellingborough Train Station being only 5 minutes away with direct trains from London, and offers 5 bus routes reaching across Northamptonshire and further. The current site was founded in 1881, when the School moved from its town centre location to the current site on London Road, and its historic buildings are still being put to good use today.
