ORGANIC SWEET POTATO
Ipomoea batatas aka the sweet potato, is a perennial cultivated around the world for its edible tuberous roots. The tubers can be eaten baked or boiled, fried or dried. The leaves of Treasure Island series are also edible and feature in many recipes. Although Ipomoea are not known for their flowers, their heart-shaped, colourful leaves make them a pretty addition to the vegetable garden. In traditional medicine the leaves are a remedy for asthma, bug bites, burns, fever, nausea, stomach distress, and more.
