On 26 August 2020, MIGHT paid a courtesy call to the Chief Minister of Melaka in relation to the Melaka Smart City initiative, a UNIDO project managed and coordinated by MIGHT. This was followed by a visit to CTRM, a longstanding MIGHT member. CTRM is a Centre of Excellence for composites and aerospace and is a leading supplier of fan cowls for major aircraft manufacturers. Collaboration with CTRM is in the works on the Smart Grid Project for the State of Melaka. MIGHT also visited DK Composites which specialises in the use of advanced composite materials in design, manufacture and installation of architectural structures. They have also expanded their scope to include land and marine vehicles and vessels such as yachts, boats and trains. The entourage was also given a preview the MyKar prototype. MyKar is a fully electrified vehicle developed by EV Innovations, a Malaysian start-up company. The fibreglass composite bodyshell of the vehicle was built by DK Composites.
