SMART GRID PROJECT WITH PROJECT DELIVERY PARTNERS (PDPS) - UNITEN AND TNB RESEARCH

MIGHT officially kicked-off the GEF6 Smart Grid Project (SGP) which aims to promote sustainable urban development via a policy framework document on smart grid development. Additionally it provides awareness to key stakeholders on smart grid engagement, conduct capacity building in nurturing local talents and the adoption of smart grid demo project with the integration of sustainable technology applications in Melaka. The project’s ultimate goal is to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions via the adoption of renewable energy, energy efficiency, advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), building energy management system, energy storage system, and electric vehicle and charging infrastructure. UNITEN and TNBR have been appointed as PDPs for GEF6 SGP since both organisations have extensive experience and are actively involved in the local smart grid industry development while adding value to existing local capabilities.
