TNB Engineering Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (TNEC) and MIGHT organised a two-day workshop on sustainable and renewable energy mainly in District Cooling System (DCS), Co-Generation (Cogen) and Large Scale Solar (LSS). The workshop was attended by 68 participants from local authorities, government agencies, property developers and the industrial sector. The discussion included market segmentation for DCS, Cogen and LSS and identified suitable business models as well as address issues and challenges faced by stakeholders related to the current building cooling system. In addition, a site visit to KLIA2 Generation Plant, KL International Airport 2 (KLIA2) was made. TNEC owned a generation plant with a capacity of 132kV sub-station and 20,000 RT of district cooling plant which are responsible for supplying both chilled water and electricity to KLIA2, in Sepang, Selangor.
