MIGHT TO DEVELOP THE NATIONAL DEFENCE INDUSTRY POLICY 18 August 2020, Wisma Pertahanan, Kuala Lumpur
The policy would highlight essential roles to be executed, especially by government ministries and agencies in improving the achievements of the defence industry. This kicked off with the steering committee meeting chaired by YBhg. Datuk Ruji Bin Hj Ubi (Under Secretary- Development) and YBrs. Tuan Ahmad Nadzri bin Mohd Hassan (Under Secretary - Policy), with representation by MINDEF divisions including Audit and General Investigation Division, Legal, Science and Technology Research. Institute for Defence (STRIDE), Malaysian Institute of Defence Security (MiDAS) and more. Delegation fromMIGHT was led by Mr. Mohd Zakwan Mohd Zabidi, Senior Vice President of Industrial Development Division. The Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) appointed MIGHT to develop the National Defence Industry Policy (DIPN) as outlined in the Defence White Paper to fortify the local defence and defence-related industries.
