MIGHT and TNBX as the knowledge driver in this feasibility study will evaluate the viability of the OPS to provide clean energy to the ships berthed at the seaport. These initiative aims to assist shipping companies, port operator and regulators to reduce the sulphur emissions at the seaports as imposed by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and aligned with the Green Port Policy. A Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was conducted together with the shipping companies to acquire baseline information and validate the preliminary findings from the feasibility study. A technical site visit was also made to understand the actual operations at the ports and the readiness of the existing infrastructure. MIGHT in partnership with TNBX Sdn Bhd and Johor Port Authority conducted a feasibi l ity study on the implementation of an On-Shore Power Supply (OPS) technology at port of Tanjung Pelepas.
