Piling Foreman Superintendent

Position Statement The Piling Foreman is responsible for the safe management and efficient delivery of piling activities on site. Primarily the Foreman manages and directs all equipment and labour within his control to deliver the works safely and defects free in accordance with the program within the targets set by the Superintendent. Job Purpose • Safety, Environmental and Sustainability: Lead by example, promoting Project and Group best practice. • Culture: Teamwork, seek advice when in doubt, contribute to team dynamics, willingly provide assistance and guidance in area of skill / knowledge when needed. • Expertise: Provide successful management of the site Team and of all Project construction activities using agreed systems to ensure successful operational and process management. • Efficiency: Participate in Continual Process Improvement (LEAN) to improve efficiency in area of work contributing to the overall efficiency of the Project Execution Plan. Duties and Responsibilities • Establishes and maintains a harmonious relationship with the team and reports to ensure project delivery and enhances Employer satisfaction without compromising safety or quality. • Acts immediately on all matters affecting the safety, quality, progress and cost of the works. • Hands-on leader, tenacious and able to work independently and remotely with available resource. • Develops and maintains open communication with employees on site, working in collaboration with the Piling Superintendents. • Knows and understands method statements and drawings, ensuring correct work sequences and completion of works for each sequence. • Provides input for the preparation and input of the short term planning and programming of the works in consultation with project staff to ensure that resources are adequate to achieve construction program milestones. • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership, especially in the area of staff motivation and team moral. Qualifications and Experience • A minimum of 15 years relevant piling (bore) experience. • In-country experience preferred or working in developing countries with multi culture teams • All candidates must have experience working with Bauer BG or Liebherr LB 45 rigs • Candidates with a strong general awareness for safe productivity, ie safety in a highly productivity pilling rig environment • Candidates must have managed up to 10 rigs in multiple locations on one or several projects at one time.
