CORRUGATED IRON SHEET CORRUGATED IRON IS A FINISHING MATERIAL MADE FROM STEEL THAT HAS BEEN GALVANIZED (COATED WITH A THIN LAYER OF ZINC) TO PROTECT IT FROM CORROSION AND RUST. IN THIS SPECIFIC PROJECT, THE CORRUGATED IRON SHEETS ARE INSTALLED HORIZONTALLY ON VERTICAL CEDAR WOOD FURRING STRIPS THAT ARE DIRECTLY ATTACHED ONTO THE PROPERLY INSTALLED AND SEALED HOME WRAP, USING SELF- DRILLING SCREWS THAT ARE DRIVEN THROUGH THE RIDGES OR VALLEYS OF THE CORRUGATIONS. EXTERNAL STONE THESE STONE PRODUCTS ARE MADE FROM A BLEND OF NATURAL AGGREGATES, CEMENT, AND OTHER PROPRIETARY MATERIALS. ON MOST PARTS OF THIS PROJECT, THE STONE FINISH IS ATTACHED TO THE VERTICAL CEDAR WOOD FURRING STRIPS WHICH ARE DIRECTLY INSTALLED ONTO THE PROPERLY PREPARED HOME WRAP BY APPLYING A SCRATCH COAT OVER THE FURRING TO DIRECTLY ADHERE THE CORONADO STONE VENEER. THE STONE FINISH ON THE OTHER HAND, IS DIRECTLY ATTACHED TO COLD-FORMED STEEL (CS) FRAMING. (FOR COLUMN FINISH) CORONADO STONE CAN BE AN EXCELLENT EXTERIOR CLADDING OPTION FOR CS-FRAMED BUILDINGS. IN THIS SCENARIO, THE CORONADO STONE WOULD BE ADHERED TO THE CS FRAME USING A SCRATCH COAT AND MORTAR- BASED ADHESIVE. CAST IN PLACE CONCRETE COPPING CAST IN PLACE CONCRETE COPPING IS TYPICALLY MADE FROM A MIXTURE OF CEMENT, AGGREGATES, AND OTHER ADDITIVES. THIS COMPOSITE MATERIAL IS MOLDED AND CURED TO CREATE A DURABLE, STONE-LIKE APPEARANCE AND TEXTURE. IN THIS PROJECT, THE CAST IN PLACE CONCRETE COPPING IS ATTACHED ON TOP OF A CORONADO STONE VENEER WALL OR SURFACE. THE PROCESS OF INSTALLING INVOLVES SURFACE PREPARATION (ENSURE THE STONE WALL OR SURFACE IS CLEAN, DRY, AND FREE OF ANY DEBRIS OR PROTRUSIONS AND VERIFY THAT THE STONE INSTALLATION IS SECURE AND PROPERLY ADHERED TO THE UNDERLYING SUBSTRATE.) CEDAR WOOD CEDAR WOOD REFERS TO THE WOOD FROM VARIOUS SPECIES OF CEDAR TREES, WHICH ARE CONIFEROUS EVERGREEN TREES KNOWN FOR THEIR DISTINCT AROMA AND NATURAL RESISTANCE TO DECAY AND INSECTS. IN THIS SPECIFIC PROJECT, CEDAR WOOD IS USED AS A FURRING STRIP. CEDAR WOOD AS A FURRING STRIPS PROVIDE THERMAL INSULATION, MOISTURE MANAGEMENT, AND AN AESTHETICALLY PLEASING, VERSATILE FRAMING SOLUTION WHEN INTEGRATED WITH CORONADO STONE AND CORRUGATED IRON SHEET CLADDING.
