For the new 2023 - 2024 season. We will do a one - day Bus Wine Tasting to places like Temecula or Seaside locations. We will have our weekend “ on - site ” Rally including seminars, pot - luck, golf and Pickleball tournament, the Food and Wine Pairing dinner and so much more. Without volunteers none of this would happen. Lake Havasu Balloon Festival, It ’ s so much more! Jeff Buchman and 62 other balloon crews for the festival at the famous “ London Bridge ” location. Besides tethered rides, untethered free flights, special shapes, evening group “ glow ” to music, food all day, morning patriotic American flag raising with the morning mass ascension, and evening group launches, the festival takes place all over the city. There will be daily classic car displays, cornhole, fun for the kids; face painting, braids and beads, art and balloon t - shirt vendors, a golf tournament, live entertainment every evening, Mohave County Sheriff ’ s K - 9 demonstration, magic and juggling, synchronized kite flying. At this writing there are RV spaces available; there is an ORPS FMCA camping area. You will find our local chapter membership applications in both Clubhouses on our wall displays. Please sign up first at www.fmca.com to get your national FMCA ID number. FMCA National membership is open to all RV owners, who own Motorhomes, 5th Wheels, Travel Trailers, Vans, or Truck Campers . as well as commercial businesses that support the RV world. ORPS Chapter FMCA Annual dues are $25 per year and a $12 badge for each new member. FMCA and Pickleball hosted Ugly Sweater; lots of fun. See some of the pictures!
Sue Strauss and Cynthia Rose organized “ Senior Wishes ”, our annual charitable fundraiser for needy seniors in Cathedral City. Thank you to the great crowd of volunteers and generous donors, for making the job look easy. A good time was had by all, packing gift bags of necessities and delivered with the help of the Cathedral City Police and Christmas carolers.
Our Tequila and Cookie party was a huge success. Probably 70 current and future members enjoyed cookies, and yummy and handmade rolls. Here ’ s to Marge McDougall shown with Mark and Rob who has taught many of us to bake Holiday cookies.
