Brook + Whittle Acquires FlexoOne, InStockLabels.Com BY GREG KISHBAUGH Brook + Whittle, Guilford, Connecticut, a provider of sustainable label solutions for pressure sensitive, shrink sleeves, and flexible pack- aging, has acquired FlexoOne and InStockLabels.com, based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Founded in 2006, FlexoOne provides flexographic and digitally print- ed labels to customers across the United States and internationally. In 2011, FlexoOne launched InStockLabels.com, leading the industry in labels for retail, apparel, warehouse, school, craft, medical and man- ufacturing needs.

Labelexpo Asia 2023 Showcases Industry Growth The first edition of Labelexpo Asia since 2019 ended with a total of 380 domestic and inter- national exhibitors taking part in the show, which took place between December 5-8 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). Spread across three halls and covering 32,000 square meters of floor place, this year’s show celebrated its 20th anniversary and featured new product launches focused on flexo, offset and digital press technologies, flexible packaging and Radio Frequency Iden- tification (RFID) technology. This year’s show saw a total of 26,742 visitors from 93 countries attending the four-day show, compared to 23,636 visitors from 90 countries at the 2019 edition, an in- crease of 13.1 percent. Countries such as South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia and India were particularly well represented with large visitor delegations. Flexo Strength Demonstrating the strength of flexo technol- ogy at this show, Spande presented its new AC-series mid-web flexo packaging produc- tion line and Hongsheng launched its first in- line flexo press, the HSR-340. Hontec launched its new FlexiCon 8-color inline flexo press and Taiyo its servo-driven inline STF-340 flexo press, equipped with chill drums to handle a wide range of materials. Other show features included the Smart Label Trail, which gave converters insight into RFID technology trends, practical applications and how they can set up their own RFID con- verting operation. Two expert-led Label Academy-host- ed master classes covered the topics of self-adhesive label technology and sustain- able labeling.
