PUBLIC TRANSPORT Public transport is one of the easiest and most efficient ways to get to the Ekka. This year there are some important changes to be aware of. Due to the construction of Cross River Rail, Exhibition Station won’t be operating during Ekka in 2023. You'll still be able to catch a ride to the Ekka with public transport options including trains and buses from nearby stops and stations. Learn more at translink.com.au/ekka TAXIS & RIDESHARE It’s only a short taxi or rideshare to the Ekka from the city. Leave your car in the city and catch a taxi or rideshare service directly to the Brisbane Showgrounds. PARKING Parking Sttations are conveniently located at: n McWhirters - enter via Warner or Ballow Streets n Valley Metro - enter via Alfred or Alden Streets n 388 Brunswick Street Car Park - enter via Berwick Street n 4 Mead Lane - enter via Ranwell Lane CYCLING Although cycling inside the grounds is prohibited, secure bike racks are located in Carriage Street. (L-16) FACILITIES n ATM facilities are located around the Showgrounds n EFTPOS facilities are available near most ticket entry gates n Toilets are located in most buildings around the Showgrounds n Locker facilities are primarily located under the John MacDonald Stand, but can also be found at several other locations around the Showgrounds n Drinking tap water is located at several sites around the Showgrounds
RECYCLING The Ekka will provide green bins for recycling drink containers through the Containers for Change Program, raising funds for the RNA Foundation (RNAF). For every plastic bottle and aluminium can recycled, container refunds will be donated to the RNAF. The RNAF raises funds to aid agricultural heritage preservation, agricultural education and agricultural awareness and development. GUEST WI-FI The RNA will provide Wi-Fi to keep Ekka guests connected during their visit to the show. Guests can access the Wi-Fi at four key locations around grounds - on the Plaza, in Expo Place (Sushi Hub Dog Pavilion and RACQ Animal Nursery, at XXXX Stockmen’s Bar and Grill and in the Member's Bar. MOBILE PHONE CHARGING A secure mobile phone charging station can be found near the locker facilities under the John MacDonald Stand.
