THE K I N G ’S B U S I N E S S in God and God’s grace was sufficient for him . God’s grace is sufficient when we are lonely. Abraham was called of God to go out away from his people— alone— th a t a new and m ighty nation m ight ta k e th e place of th e wicked one he was leaying. God may ask you to stand out again st some g reat evil hu t you will no t he alone fo r He w ill be w ith you and H is grace w ill he suffi cient. God’s grace was sufficient for Jo shu a when h e was in g reat danger, going ou t to conquer a new country b u t when God commands, He enables and He had said “Be no t afraid, n eith er be thou dismayed for th e Lord, thy God is w ith thee w ithersoever thou goest.” T h a t prom ise is for everyone who obeys God’s commands and goes where He sends. The Bible is full of instances of God’s abounding grace to those who m et th e simple condition of an u p righ t life and obedience to God’s commands, and His grace is ju s t th e same today for us when we too, meet th e condi- ,tions. God’s Saving Grace. . In P au l’s le tte r to th e Ephesians we find a wonderful statem en t of th e sav ing grace of God. The Ephesians had been saved from the d ark est and basest

idolatry by the grace of God. F aith was all th e Ephesians contributed tow ard th e wonderful change which was wrought; in th e ir lives. So it is w ith our lives when we become new creatu res in Christ Jesus. We cannot earn salvation for it is a free gift. We are saved by grace, th rough faith . God saves men a t no cost to them . The help God gives is infinite. God’s grace is n o t lim ited in qu an tity for He loves th e world and every person in it. “Whosoever” includes people of every race and tongue, and “Whosoever will, le t him take of th e w ater of life freely.” If any of you are th ink ing th e grace of God \ is no t m eant for you, you are ju st th e one for whom it is meant. When you offer someone a gift, do you like to have them tak e it relu ctan tly o r refuse it altogeth er? Yet some of you are refusing th e g ft of God’s grace. God’s Teaching Grace. God’s grace is no t only abounding and saving b u t is a teaching grace as well, as it continues in th e lives th a t have received it developing them in wisdom and usefulness. Notice in T itu s 2:11-14 th a t th e in struction is to b reak away from all worldly en tan glements and th en to live self-con-
