Welcome to our 22nd Cranview Gelbvieh & Angus sale and thank you for taking the time to review this year’s offering. We appreciate your interest and confidence in our breeding program. The current beef industry is in an optimistic position. Strong cattle prices, steady demand, and renewed confidence throughout the supply chain continue to reward disciplined management and sound genetics. Given the latest cow numbers report, we believe the future is bright for quite some time. As you can see from the offering, we have increased the number of Angus bulls this year. It is our long-range plan to continue to build our Angus cow base and maintain our Gelbvieh/ Balancer cow herd. In building our Angus cow herd, we have selected a handful of Angus females to create real world functional cattle.Traits such as sound feet and udders, disposition, and fertility, are essential to long-term profitability for us and for our customers. While we value EPD’s and performance data, it is not the only tools we use for selection criteria. Even though our cattle have gone to many parts of the country and have performed very well, we try to balance these tools with what is practical in our conditions and then make cattle that will thrive in our environment. This year’s set of bulls & heifers is our strongest and most uniform set that we have ever offered. They are created through ET,AI, and natural service sires. All sale animals have genomic enhanced EPD’s along with parent verification. This not only ensures the most up-to-date EPD’s, $values, and a guaranteed pedigree but also improves the accuracy for these animals. We invite you to join us March 28th to view the cattle, ask questions, and enjoy fellowship with other cattle producers on our sale day in Rugby, ND. It is truly the best day of the year for us and my hope is to see and visit with most of you. Sincerely, Rob, Bill and Noah Arnold
