ceived in darkness. When I think of the doubt that is assailing us today I know It is but the poison gas of the German 'kulturists' which crept Into our schools in the days when we thought that If a man didn't have a 'Von' attached to his name he didn't know anything. But the Bible ls the 'gas mask' with which the Christian can turn back the damnable 'made in Germany' infidelity that Is undermin– ing our churches and schools. Chris– tians and evolutionists are engaged in a truceless warfare where no quarter must be shown." Quoting from "The Searchlight" in its summing up of the results of the Convention: "The first World's Fundamental Con– vention was held in Jerusalem, A. D. 46. The last World's Fundamental Con– vention was held in Ft. Worth, Texas, 19 23 A. D. The gatherings were similar in many respects. The great– est preachers of the first century at– tended the Jerusalem Conference, and the greatest preachers of the present century attended the Fort Worth con– vention. "The issue in each was the same. The first convention settled the issue that the Word of God should be taken with nothing added to it and nothing taken from it; and the last convention reach– ed the sam.e decision." THE PSALl\I OF THE MODERNISTS Let us, then, be up and doing, Things unorthodox each day; Ripping Gospels up and strewing Old beliefs along the way. Be not like dumb, driven cattle, That would be a foolish crime· Flout the Holy Bible, that'll ' Make you famous every time.

Cousin of R-Obert Louis Stevenson, formerly missionary among the head– hunters of the South Sea Islands, now pastor at Oak Park, Ill., In speaking on "The World's Greatest Need" said: "Those who talk of world courts bringing peace are on the wrong track. Faith Is the only thing that can save the world from itself. There can be no compromise. An evolutionist is not a Christian, for he will not accept the Bible as God's infallible Word. By re– fusing to believe the story of creation as told in the Bible, he shows that he doubts it all. There can be no half– way ground. I charge that every evolu– tionist is a moral coward. He is at– tacking the very teachings that have lifted the world's civilization to Its present position. If he succeeds in tearing away the bulwark of the Bible, he will be engulfed in a flood of chaos of his own making." Dr. T. L. Blalock, for 30 years a mis– sionary in China, made the startling charge that evolution is being taught in practically every public school and college In China aud in some of the mission schools. (Article by Dr. Bla– lock on the Bible Union of China will appear In a subsequent issue.) Rev. Albert Sidney Johnston, Pastor First Presbyterian Church, Charlotte, N. C. "Every believer carries a commission from God and should fulfill it. The world doesn't need more macWnery and contrivances to be saved from war aud other calamities; It needs only the Spirit of God. Let every Fundament– alist read the signs of the times and then ask, with Paul, 'Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?'" Dr. L. W. Munhall, veteran l\lethodlst evangelist, and Editor of "The Eastern l\iethodlst": "The Bible Is historically and scien– tifically true despite the attacks of its enemies, based on ignorance and con...
