one of our Mexican converts who was distributing tracts in every room came over to me and said; "There are some young men who want you to come to their room to talk with them," so on arriving at the room we asked if they had heard the Gospel, and a young man pulled out his Gospel of John from his hip pocket and said, "I have read it through and I believe every word of it," and after we gave a mes– sage he very readily accepted the Lord as his Savior. So we praise God that the Gospel still 1s mighty to save. Persecution Whenever the Lord works the devil also seeks to impede. In one of our camps a woman who recently had ac– cepted the Lord and always attended our weekly cottage meeting with her three children, was missing from the meeting, and upon inquiry we were told that her husband had prohibited her greatly troubled, fearing le•t Hite would be cast off and disowned by lhis sen )le· cause of her belief in Jesus f~s the tr1ie Messiah. Two Christian workers entered her home a few moments after the Jong– looked-for son arrived, and realized that before they left the son must know at any cost the truth about his mother. Hardly were they seated when the mother turned to the workers and said, "You know that I love Jesus and that He has meant so much to me, and my son is very near the Kingdom," and immediately the son took from his in– side pocket a little Gospel of John, and opening it at the third chapter began reading aloud the fourth and fifth CONVERTED Jewish mother whose long-Jost son had been heard from, his home-coming being near at hand, was
