and the Lamb is ready to be offered. Our High Priest now takes His way to the altar and to the Holy or Holies. He wears not the priestly garments of Levi and Aaron, but ls clad in peasant garb; for so it befitted the Son or Man. He walks the sorrowful way. His back bending under the weight o! the cross, He comforts the daughters o! Jerusalem who weep for 'Him. His knees give way under the heavy burden, but He presses on to Calvary, where He shall bear the greater burden o! the sins or mankind. For He is to offer, once for oil, His own BLOOD, and to make atone– ment tor the sins of the world. Oh, what a wonderful HIGH PRIEST and KING and SAVIOR! About whom did we study last week? No one cared what soldiers did to those who were to be crucified, so they did not care what was done to Jesus. The soldiers plat– ted a crown of thorns and placed it on His head. I once saw a crown made of the thorns they put on Jesus' head. You cannot handle them with your bare hands as they are too sharp, and are like very line needles about six inches long. These were In a. box with a glass cover as they were so sharp. Then some one gave them an old purple coat, which they put on Him, as purple was the color of the King's coat.
