GIS Professional Development The GIS Course© strives to give theoretical and technical training to students interested in pursuing an exciting and rewarding career in this ever-growing field. GGI offers the only industry accredited program in the State of Louisiana that offers this course to high school students. GGI’s IBC prepares high school students and lifelong learners with the tools they need to advance in workforce development and compete in a global job market. 2 4 GIS Course© for High School - Industry Based Certification (IBC) This two-day workshop empowers educators to integrate and enrich existing curriculum utilizing STEM and GIS. Educators are given the tools they need to help their students gain project-based learning skills. Training is designed to incorporate phenomena-based teaching methods for K-12 administrators and educators, especially career tech instructors and counselors.

3 ArcGIS Online US School Competition Across the nation, middle school and high school students are exploring their world and creating interesting map products. This annual competition is open to middle school and high school students in the United States. Since 2020, GGI has guided students through this contest, including a Caddo Middle Magnet School (Shreveport) student who won the national competition in 2022.
