The Alcove Angus Family invites you to our Annual Bull and Female Sale. This is our 28th annual bull sale and our 12th joint sale with Springhill Herefords. We are grateful for the support and advice we receive from them.
The animals will be available for viewing in the pens by 10 a.m. on the day of the sale. If you would like to view bulls or heifers prior to sale day, give us a call and we would be glad to meet you and answer any questions you may have. Bulls will be at the bull facility; heifers will be at the ranch until sale day. All Angus animals offered have had a Geneseek Angus GS test. The EPDs listed reflect the testing. They have been ultrasounded, pelvic scored, vaccinated, and BVD tested. They are guaranteed PI negative. All bulls have been semen checked. Ultrasound data and pelvic scores for the bulls and heifers will be available on the day of the sale. The ADG for all the Angus bulls was 3.14. Animals notated with the Targeting the Brand logo highlight the Angus with greater potential to produce calves meeting the most challenging specifications of the Certified Angus Beef brand. Over 70 percent of our bulls have this notation. But just don’t look at numbers, these animals have plenty of eye appeal also. Our goal is to present a diverse group of bulls so that you can find the animal you need — be it calving ease, growth, carcass merit or a combination. We stress good disposition in our cattle. They are used to us walking among them throughout the year, so they are accustomed to being around humans. Our grandchildren love to “check the cows” so they need to be docile. We have an extensive AI program with almost all our cows and heifers being AI’d before being turned out with clean-up bulls. In addition, we purchase embryos throughout the United States with the goal of improving our herd and offerings. This year there are two embryo bulls being offered. Twelve different sires are represented in this offering. We are also offering a group of open yearling heifers that would be a great addition to your herd. Take a look at them.
We attended the World Angus Forum and Tours in Australia in May 2025. Then went to New Zealand. Look for some pictures from our adventure throughout the bull pages. A memorable and informative trip.
