Scoring goals for Saint-Isidore were Tyler Druce and Ryan Wells with Kevin Howson and Frédérik Laflèche providing assists. Sebastien Moreau was in the goal. Samuel Gaudet popped in a pair of goals for Clarence Creek with teammates Étienne Agius-Pease and Logan Lefebvre tallying singles. Assisting on the goals were Matthew Clifford, Patrick Lemay, and Vincent Martel. Corey Camirand guarded the net. Next games on St-Isidore’s schedule are February 9 in Vankleek Hill against the Cougars, hosting the Bytown Royals February 10, and the makeup game with North Dundas on February 11.

The Ground Hog Day weekend proved a lucky one for the Clarence Creek Castors with two more wins for the club to kick off the February game schedule. Despite the blowing snow Saturday, the Castors made the trip to the Cardinal Arena for their evening game with the South Gren- ville Rangers. The Castors bit down hard on the Rangers for a 6-2 win. Scoring singles for Clarence Creek were Samuel Gaudet, Kyle Goodman, Austin Laprade, Patrick Lemay, Vincent Martel, and Sam Paquette. Assists on the goals came from Lemay, Martel, Étienne Agius-Pease, Matthew Clifford, Logan Lefebvre, and Zack Lugli. Corey Camirand guarded the net.

Blowing snow over the weekend made sure that any ground hogs waking up on February 2 didn’t see their shadows around Prescott-Russell. The weather also cancel- led two local games in the National Capital Junior Hockey League schedule. Both the Saint-Isidore Eagles and the Vankleek Hill Cougars had quiet Saturday nights as their Ground Hog’s Day scheduled matches with the North Dundas Rockets and the Morrisburg Lions were postponed to later in the season because of weather conditions. The Saint-Isidore/North Dundas game is now scheduled for February 11, 7:30

de leurs adversaires, dix d’entre eux pour être exact, viennent de Cumberland. « Dix des 17 équipes de la ligue sont de là, a-t-il souligné. C’est souvent difficile de gagner contre des régions qui sont capables de faire autant d’équipes que ça. » L’entraineur dit avoir une équipe de joueurs très bien motivés et attentifs aux directives. « On travaille tous très bien ensemble. » Lors de leur dernière partie de la saison, les Castors Peewee B affronteront Vankleek Hill, le 16 février prochain. L’équipe de Clarence Creek possède une fiche de 19 victoires, deux défaites et deux égalités. En ce qui concerne les séries, M. Johnson dit vouloir garder la même stratégie. « On va continuer de faire ce que l’on a fait durant toute la saison, a-t-il dit. Nous sommes fiers d’avoir terminé en première place ! »

Le travail d’équipe a fait en sorte que les Castors Peewee B de Clarence- Rockland terminent leur saison en tête de leur division. Bien qu’il reste à l’équipe une partie à jouer, celle-ci a cimenté son emprise au sommet de la division, suite à une victoire contre Rockland, par le pointage de trois à deux. « Notre stratégie est de toujours promouvoir le travail d’équipe, a expliqué l’entraineur-chef de l’équipe, Michel John- son. Mon objectif au début de la saison était de terminer en première place dans la ligue. » Ce dernier souligne que ce n’est pas toujours facile pour les joueurs de l’équipe, qui sont âgés de 12 à 13 ans.
