“Stop and Smell the Roses … And the Bushes and the Weeds.” A dog’s nose is a thousand times more sensitive than a human’s. I wonder what a vibrant, aromatic world Bingo lived in. He never hurried; he lived only in the present. I wish we could all forget about the past and stop worrying about the future. There are so many interesting and wonderful experiences to be enjoyed, right at the tip of our noses. For years, our voicemail message has closed with the advice, “Enjoy today for the gift that it is.” Bingo was my example. Live life with no worries, no fear, and with a great big heart and a wet nose. We are heartbroken with his passing and grateful for his lasting impact on our family. He was our first dog ever for all of our family. Bingo was meant to be, and he’ll stay in our hearts always.
