Dear Producers, Our Hope is this catalog finds you and your families well this spring. In addition, we hope your calving season has been successful and without difficulty. We would like to thank everyone for your support of our program and confidence in our genetics. Thank you also for your acceptance and participation in our new sale format through DV Auction. The feedback from participants a year ago was very positive and we hope to continue to make improvements along the way. The entire herd benefited greatly from the quality and quantity of grass Mother Nature produced on our summer lease last year and all classes of cattle went into the fall heavy and in great condition. The yearlings in this offering weaned and transitioned well to the growing ration and have remained healthy and gained steadily. Our yearling Angus bull and heifer offering will consist primarily of sons and daughters of Schiefelbein Showman 338, S Architect 9501 and Tehama Tahoe B767 as well as a number of high quality progeny out of our resident herd sires. The yearling Hereford bulls of my son Joseph’s are all out of JDH AH Lincoln 106H. The vast majority of the entire offering is the result of our embryo transfer program so there are a number of half, three quarter and full siblings to select from for your breeding program. The entire bull and female offering will be marketed in an “Online Only” Auction event through DV Auction which bidding will open on the morning of May 14th and bidding will close on the evening of May 15th. If you have never participated in this type of format before we are hopeful that buyers will find this version of marketing less stressful and user friendly. The format allows customers so much more buying flexibility and control than the tradi- tional public auction model. In addition, the online format allows us to operate within the limitations of our own infrastructure here at home and will be considerably less stressful on the cattle. The bulls may be viewed anytime at our ranch west of Belle Fourche prior and during the sale event.
