ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
The Students’ Union Under the requirements of the Education Act 1984 Part 2, the University is obliged to inform students of their right not to be members of the Students’ Union. The University is satisfied that the provision of services or facilities made by the University and the Union for all students, whether they are members of the Union or not, is sufficient to ensure that those who have exercised the right of non-membership under the Act are not unfairly disadvantaged; it has therefore made no special arrangements for the provision of services or facilities for non-members of the Union. Widening participation The University of Warwick works with young people to enhance access to higher education for all those who have the potential to study at university, regardless of background. The Widening Participation and Outreach team run a wide range of events and activities targeted at state school educated students, students who would be the first in their family to attend university, students from low socio-economic backgrounds and students who come from neighbourhoods where there is low progression to higher education.
